Commemorating the 75 glorious years of India’s Independence i.e.“Amrit Mahotsav” as well as birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the ICAR-Indian Institute of Soybean Research, Indore today conducted a “Cleanliness Awareness Programme for School Children” on Saturday at Shriram Convent School, Musakhedi, village.
On this occasion, B.U. Dupare, Principal Scientist of ICAR-IISR explained the school children about how the children can play a pivotal role for making their home, neighborhood, city and country not only neat and clean but also a best place in the world by maintaining the clean and pollution free environment. He further added that we can overcome emerging diseases and ailments through following the cleanliness guidelines and procedures at every walk of life. Also, Rajkumar Ramteke, Principal Scientist and Chairman of the organising committee elaborated about how cleanliness can contribute for peaceful life which eventually increase the intelligence quotient in the children who are future citizens of the country.
Shyam Kishor Verma shared his poems on “Cleanliness and Health” especially composed for the occasion. The programme was conducted in presence of Rakesh Chandra Shakya, Seema Chauhan of the institute along with Shri Pramod Raghuwanshi, the Director of Shriram Convvent School as well as Principal Arti Raghuwanshi.
