Aadvanced life support ambulance worth Rs 63 lakh was handed down to the MP Palamu V D Ram by the GM Rajhara area CCL, Chandwa Basab Choudhuri on Thursday night in Daltonganj. Choudhuri said the advanced life support ambulance was in fact procured under corporate social responsibility of the Coal India Limited.
He said the chairman of the Coal India Limited Pramod Agrawal and chief managing director CCL P M Prasad directed him to get in touch with the MP Palamu V D Ram to launch this advanced life support ambulance.
Choudhuri said this ambulance has Rs 33 lakh worth of medical and life support system in the ambulance and the cost of the ambulance itself is separately 30 lakhs. On Friday evening the MP Palamu V D Ram and former chief minister Babulal Marandi jointly dedicated this advanced life support ambulance to the society.
The Red Cross Society Daltonganj has been entrusted to run this ambulance, said the secretary Dr Satyajit
Gupta. Gupta said the ambulance will be parked on the premises of the official residence of the civil surgeon Palamu Anil Kumar right now.
