Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will transfer Rs 1,500 crores into the bank accounts of farmers on the occasion of the State Foundation Day on November 1.
The 21 lakh farmers of the state will receive the third installment under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.
Under the scheme launched in 2019, there is provision of input assistance to promote crop productivity and crop diversification in the state, an official communication said.
In 2019, Rs 5,702 crores were released to 13 lakh beneficiaries mainly paddy and sugarcane producers.
In the second year, the first instalment of Rs 1,525.97 crores was released on May 21, 2021. The second instalment was released on August 20 and now the third will be paid to farmers on November 1.
The government has expanded the scope of the Yojana to include all Kharif crops as well as horticulture crops.
