Chhattisgarh's film policy will lead to development of tourism and give a platform for employment opportunities to locals.
The films will also promote the natural beauty of the state as well as highlight its resources, art and culture, said Gaurav Dwivedi, Advisor to the Chhattisgarh government.
He was interacting with Mumbai's eminent film producer Avinash Das on the film policy of Chhattisgarh on Saturday.
Dwivedi said a single window system has been set up for filmmakers. Provision has been made for grants to producers for film production on the condition of providing employment to local people.
There are plans to run schools for local artists, technicians and others, he said.
He said the government was allotting 115 acres of land for the film industry.
Filmmaker Avinash Das said the film policy of Chhattisgarh will create a new opportunity for filmmakers. The state's natural beauty, culture and heritage can find a place on the screens.
