In an attempt to provide banking support and credit facilities to the maximum numbers of the people of the State, Ranchi Regional Office, Central Bank of India (CBI) successfully organized a credit outreach program on Monday in the State Capital on the occasion of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
The programme was inaugurated by the Field General Manager, CBI Patna Zone, BS Harilal with the lamp lighting ceremony. Speaking during the programme, Harilal said that the Nation is celebrating the 75th Festival of Independence. Keeping this in mind, credit outreach programmes has been started by CBI all over the Country, he added.
Welcoming all the respected customers and chief guests, Senior Regional Manager of Ranchi Region, Ajay Kumar Singh informed about the purpose of the programme. He said that this event aims to ease the process of availing the loan facility to the needy people, as well as reduce the turn-around time of disbursement of loans, so that loans can be provided to the beneficiaries in the shortest possible time. He said that CBI is committed to walk step by step in realizing the Government's vision of self-reliant India.
“The bank has a network of 4594 branches across the Country and a large customer base of more than 50 million Indian account holders. In Jharkhand, the Bank has done commendable work in the implementation of all development schemes and social security related schemes of the Government like Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Account Scheme and others. The Bank is playing a leading role in connecting the poor with the mainstream by providing loans to Self Help Groups in Jharkhand,” said Singh. Chief Manager Satish Kumar thanked all the respected customers present in the programme.
