The city-based Bada Khabar News Channel Group on Saturday launched a satirical cartoon weekly in Odia, named “Samalochana”.
Group editor Ardhendu Das stressed upon the need for media criticism of Government for better governance and said the cartoon weekly would go a long way in expressing the issues of the common man of the State in a creative manner.
Inaugurating the weekly, BJP State president Samir Mohanty highlighted the need for fearless journalism for the development of people.
Jatni MLA Suresh Kumar Routray congratulated Ardhendu Das and the Bada Khabar Group for taking such a pioneering step in journalism.
Among others, journalists Pradosh Patnaik, Pradumna Satapathy, Hemant Rath, Dhirendra Mallick, Bibhuti Kar, Debaprasad Parija. Prabhat Mohanty, Bijay Das were present. Bada Khabar Group GM Kartika Ray delivered a vote of thanks.
