BJP targets coalition Govt on rising crime

Sunday, 28 February 2021 | PNS | Ranchi

The State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief, cum Rajya Sabha MP, Deepak Prakash, along with BJP Legislative Party Leader, Babulal Marandi, met the family members of the husband and wife who were murdered with a sharp weapon in Tikli Tola on Kanke Road here on Saturday.

Visiting the family members at their ancestral village, Konge, to express condolences the BJP leaders expressed solace and said that in this hour of grief the BJP stands with the aggrieved family.

Expressing disappointment on the incident, Prakash said that the graph of crime has increased rapidly in the State after the formation of coalition Government. “In this Government there has been an unprecedented increase in the incident of atrocities on the tribals. As soon as the Government was formed, starting with the massacre of Chaibasa to the massacre of Gumla-Kamdara, murders are going on unabated. This Government is dominated by criminals; their morale is increasing day by day. Leaders are busy only in the transfer-posting business and criminals are carrying out the incident without any fear. The government is taking the State towards anarchy,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Marandi said that the morale of the naxalites and criminals in the State has increased so much that the husband and wife were brutally murdered just 3-4 kilometers away from the Chief Minister’s residence. “In the Government, which has become the so called well-wisher of the tribals, the maximum massacre, killing of tribals is taking place. The people of the State are feeling insecure,” he added.

Many BJP workers, including MLA Samri Lal, Ashok Baraik, Aarti Kujur, KK Gupta, Rahul Awasthi, Nakula Tirkey, were among those who met the families of the deceased.

Meanwhile, Sant Ravidas’  birth anniversary was celebrated at the party headquarter under the aegis of BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha.

On the occasion of 644th birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas, former Chief Minister and BJP Legislature Party Leader Babulal Marandi lit the lamp and launched the programme highlighting his biography and said that Saint Shiromani Ravidas Maharaj was the symbol of social unity and equality.

BJP State president Deepak Prakash said that the Country is a Country of saints, gurus and Mahatmas. “Sant Guru Ravidas was one of the most famous and influential people who made a huge contribution towards the establishment of the Bhakti Movement. Guru Ravidas was born in Banaras Uttar Pradesh. On this day Magha Purnima took place. He was a great thinker, reformist, and great poet of his time,” he added.

There is a need to make life successful and aware of their society by following his path, said Prakash.
