A team of Raniganj police on Saturday seized five drums containing spirit worth Rs 3 lakh near a licensed liquor shop at Kanevara village under Fatanpur police station of Pratapgarh district.
Police said that the illegal consignment of spirit was kept in drums and the police were finding out more about two persons, including the licence holder of the shop.
A police team led by Raniganj Circle Officer Atul Anjan Tripathi, acting on a specific tip-off that illegal spirit was stored near a licensed liquor shop, raided the place and seized the illegal spirit.
