State capital Bhubaneswar on Tuesday registered 339 new Covid-19 positive cases, with which the total tally in the city increased to 89,805. This was an increase from the 281 infections reported on Monday.Out of the new cases, 291 were local contacts and 48 were quarantine cases. The local contacts included 26 cases in Patia, 22 in Dumduma, 15 in Patrapada, 12 in Nayapalli, 11 in IRC Village, nine each in Unit-8, Pokhariput, Chandrasekharpur and Badagada.Currently, active cases stood at 1,311 in city. Meanwhile, five more patients succumbed to disease in city in last 24 hours, with which total death toll rose to 445. However, 340 persons recovered on day, increasing total recoveries to 88,028.
