As many as 218 more persons in the State tested Covid-19 positive in 24 districts and the State pool on Tuesday, increasing the total positives’ tally to 3,40,620.
Of the new cases, 129 were reported from quarantine centres while 89 were local contact cases.
Bargarh district recorded the day’s highest 34 cases followed by Nuapada with 29, Sundargarh 26, Khordha 25 and Cuttack 16.
Besides, six cases were reported from the State pool. Currently, the number of total active cases in the State stood at 1,837 and the cumulative samples tested were 90,23,098.
However, 121 patients recovered on the day, taking the total recoveries to 3,36,930 in the State. On Monday, the State had reported 208 positive cases.
