In line with the State Government’s resolve to have zero tolerance against corruption — as announced by Chief Minister Hemant Soren just after formation of
Government in the State a year ago — the CM today approved the proposal of suspension of Deputy Registrar, Deoghar, Rahul Chaubey on Saturday.
Action has been taken against Chaubey for defying the rules regarding registration of 31 acres of land in Devipur circle. On the other hand, irregularities in revenue works a day earlier, not to cooperate with the Committee on Revenue related works done in the last one year in Deoghar
Zone, unofficially absent from his office and headquarters without sanctioning leave, of his works.
The CM approved the suspension proposal of the Circle Officer, Deoghar Anil Kumar Singh, on account of negligence, disregard of orders given by high officials, insensitivity to common people and maintenance of law and order and negligence in execution of functions of common people.
Also, action will be taken against Indian Police Service officer Anurag Gupta (currently suspended) under Section 7 (13) (1) (d) and 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and section 120 (b) of the Indian Penal Code.
The CM has approved the proposal of Home, Jail and Disaster Management Department. Also, the proposal to sack the then Block Development Officer of Bundu Block and the currently suspended Lalan Kumar from service and to suspend the Executive Engineer Arvind Kumar of the Rural Development Department Working Group, Simdega. The ACB team arrested the Executive Engineer at his residence for taking bribe from a contractor.
The CM approved the proposal to register an FIR against Jitendra Kumar Hazra, a forest area officer of Kundri area of Medininagar forest division.
Against him, there are charges of illegal dumping of about 535 trees from forest land and other charges against the mafia.
Instructions for filing separate FIRs against the then Municipal Commissioner Manoj Kumar, the then Deputy Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Prasad and Anil Kumar Yadav for the irregularities in the supply of computer materials and other equipment for e-governance works in Dhanbad Municipal Corporation were also given by the CM.
It has been ordered to initiate departmental proceedings against these three, register an FIR against the then Urban Reform Specialist Manish Kumar of the Municipal Corporation. Junior Supervisor-cum-Storekeeper Harishchandra Pandey and Accountant Anil Kumar Mandal have been suspended.
Also, the Government, through the Anti-Corruption Bureau, is conducting a probe against several other officers, who have been charged with serious allegations of corruption.
