Bhubaneswar on Monday registered 173 Covid-19 cases, with which the total tally in the capital city increased to 1,06,732.Notably, the city had recorded 293 infections on Sunday.Out of the 173 new cases, 125 were local contacts and 48 were from quarantine.
The local contacts included nine cases in Old Town, eight in Rasulgarh, six in Unit-1 and five each in Jharpada, Dumduma and Patia.The active cases in the city stood at 3,255.Four more patients succumbed to the disease in the city, pushing the death toll to 994. However, 258 persons recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, increasing the total recoveries to 1,02,462.
