The outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic had shown a sustained decline in positive cases in the past few days while the recovery rate is consistently increasing. According to health experts and statistics, the peak of the second wave has passed in the district.
A comparative analysis of the number of Covid-19 infected and recovered patients along with the deceased (due to Covid-19) for the last five days (from 25 to 29 May) in the district represents positive indications. The analysis shows that the number of patients recovering from coronavirus infection compared to positive patients is continuously increasing, said Civil Surgeon Dr. Ashok Kumar Pathak.
For the past few days, there has been a consistent decline in new positive cases of COVID-19. In such a situation, caution is needed. The slightest carelessness can speed up the dwindling cases, once again, believed Pathak.
“It is too early to say at the moment, but it is important that all people wear masks as well as follow the guidelines including physical distancing seriously,” he added.
According to available data, around 18791 individuals have been infected by COVID-19 in the districts. Of them, 18057 have recovered, and 268 could not survive.
If we talk about the Corona report of the last five days, then on May 25, 60 people reported positive in the district, while 225 patients were recovered and discharged. At the same time, 02 patients died. On May 26, 64 people reported positive, while 202 people recovered. At the same time, the death toll was zero. On May 27, 32 people reported positive, while 100 people recovered, and one got died, he said.
On May 28, 37 people reported positive, while 157 people had recovered and the death toll was one. Similarly, in the late-night report of 29 May, 31 people were tested COVID-19 positive, while 96 people have recovered and discharged; no deaths were reported. As such, the number of patients infected with coronavirus in the last 5 days was 224 and the death toll reported of 4 people, whereas 780 patients recovered from coronavirus infection, Pathak said.
Pathak appealed mass: they must get their vaccine shot earliest to keep their family and people around them safe. “Vaccine is completely safe, even in preventing the wave of COVID-19,” he added.
Use of face mask, adherence to social distancing, and frequent hand washing is an effective weapon against the COVID-19 pandemic, said Pathak..
