Water from Bindu Sagar sent to Ayodhya

Friday, 31 July 2020 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

The Maa Jageswari Yuba Sangathan along with Odisha Swabhiman and Bharat Raksha Manch on Thursday sent a container of water from the holy  Bindu Sagar near the Lingaraj Temple here to Ayodhya for the Bhoomi Pujan to be held on August 5.

Sangathan president Prafulla Swain said Bindu Sagar water is considered most sacred as it contains a drop of water from each of India’s sacred water bodies.

The water was collected by Swain, Anil Dhir and Rajesh Agrawal from the Ananta Vasudev Ghat. The members wanted to go to Ayodhya in person, but permission was denied by the administration. The water has been sent in a sealed Kamandal by Speed Post to Mahant Nrityagopal Das, trustee of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra.

Anil Dhir said the sacred soil and water from all parts of the country also symbolises the emotional connection that the people have with Lord Ram.
