The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has planned Diwali-like celebrations on August 5, the day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone (bhumi pujan) of Ram temple at Ayodhya. As the day will complete the 500-year-old struggle of Hindu society the VHP has asked Hindus to lighten lamps outside their, at temples and other religious places.
The VHP has asked people to light diyas at the entrance of their houses on the day when PM Modi lays the foundation stone of Ram temple. The VHP has also asked people to face towards Ayodhya in morning till the bhumi pujan is done chanting Lord Rama's name. Select saints and religious leaders across the country have been invited to be part of the grand function.
VHP Jharkhand Bihar's Area Organization secretary, Virendra Vimal said, “Saint and a member associated with VHP will participate at the bhumi pujan of Lord Rama temple at Ayodhya. From Jharkhand, Dhaneshwar Ram Munda and Swami Krishna Chaitanya Brahmachari have been invited to witness the bhumi pujan at Ayodhya.”
Vimal said, “While Munda is associated with VHP for more than two decades and working at Dhram Pracharak Vibhag of VHP. Swami Krishna Chaitanya Brahmachari is saint and from Swami Karpatri Jee Sewa Sadan Masmano Lohardaga.”
The people of Sarna society showed great enthusiasm in sending holy soil of Sarna site to Ayodhya. Soil collection work is still going on from the sites of Sarna. Dhaneshwar Munda will take all these soil with him. Both the people will leave for Ayodhya from here on August 2 and will reach Ayodhya the next day. Along with them, Jharkhand Bihar's Area Organization secretary Virender Vimal and VHP's Sewa Pramukh Ajay Aggarwal will also go.
Vimal said, “In Jharkhand too we have to appeal people to perform morning prayers until Bhumi pujan and lighten lamps in morning to mark the day.”
Earlier, soil and water from sacred rivers from Jharkhand has been sent to Ayodhya for bhumi pujan (ground breaking) ceremony of Lord Rama temple at Ayodhya.
Soil and sacred water from 2100 holy sites of Jharkhand including 1100 sarna sthals have been sent to Ayodhya. Some of the places from where soil was collected include Ulihatu, the birthplace of Dharti Aba Birsa Munda, Ramrekha dham in Gumla district where Lord Rama along with Sita and Laxman spent time of their exile period. Apart from these soil were also collected from temples including Baba Baidyanath (Deoghar), Chinnamastika Temple (Rajrappa), Parasnath, Pahadi Baba Temple, Basukinath (Dumka), Amreshwar Dham (Khunti), Gayatri Peeth, Bhadrakali Temple (Chatra), Vindhyavasini Temple, Shyam Temple, Anjanadham, Deori Temple, Jagannathpur Temple.
Soil was also collected from 35 gurdwaras, 12 Jain pilgrimage sites, three Buddhist sites among others. The sacred water was collected from River Ganga, Koel, Damodar, Swarnrekha, Barakar among others.
