The winter session of UP assembly has been cancelled in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier this month the Central government had also announced to cancel the winter session of Parliament in view of the coronavirus pandemic.
UP Assembly secretariat sources said the power to convene a session of the assembly rested with the government. He said the decision to cancel the winter session was taken by the Cabinet.
The last session of the UP assembly was held from September 20 to September 22 and it had only three sittings.
