With two coronavirus positive cases detected in Chhattisgarh's capital Raipur, two areas falling under the Municipal Corporation Birgaon -- Rawanbata and Itwari Bazar -- were on Saturday declared containment zones.
An order from officiating Raipur Collector Saurabh Kumar said that one case was found in Ward 9 of Municipal Corporation Birgaon.
The area marked as containment zone towards east is near stream of Shiv Temple, towards west is the house of Shyamlal Deep, towards north is the house of Ramvilash Sahu, towards north-west is the house of Suresh Sahu while towards south the road has been totally closed.
In addition, the working place of the patient, Ganapati Ispat Pvt Ltd, besides Dainik Bhaskar press and industrial area Urla have also been classified as containment area.
The other containment zone is in Ward 25. This area borders the residence of Chouhan (eastern direction), near a temple (west), the residence of Nankumar Gaikwad (north), residence of Janaki (northwest), house of Khorbahra (south), Itwari Bazar turn (south-east) and the main entry near the Bheekam Provision stores.
The order states that all shops, offices and other commercial outlets will remain closed until further orders.
