The tribal dance forms of State delighted the Bhopalites on Thursday. The performances were held under Gamak series at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum.
Trupti Nagar and group, Ujjain performed Malvi folk songs and Sukal Singh Dhurve and group, Dindori performed Gond tribal dance.
The presentation started with Trupti Nagar and group's performance with Malvi folk songs, which included Ganesh Vandana "Thansu binto barbar ganayak aajad ardhon" followed by "Mharo to ghar mein woh jarni sasra nayi bola", "Ghera ro ghamido main to paani bharta", Malvi songs like "Once Ajoji Jamai Ji Pamana" and "Alki Ki Palki Jai Kanhaiyalal Ki" were presented.
Trupti Nagar has been giving musical performances for the last twenty-five years, she has given her performance in AIR, Indore and various prestigious forums of the country.
She was accompanied on the stage by Radha Mehta, Karuna Sisodia, Tara and Priyashi Nagar as co-singers, on Chatri byTrimesh Nagar and Vansh Sisodia on Dholak, Vivek Dhal, on Tabla, Priyash Nagar and Akash Malhotra on Harmonium.
The second performance was the Gond tribal dance 'Karama and Saila' by Sukal Singh Dhurve and group.
Karma is the inspirational dance, Karmapuja is celebrated in Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Karma dance is performed in it. Both young men and women take part in the dance. Gond tribals perform Karma dance in almost all seasons except rain. The field of Karama dance-song is very wide in Madhya Pradesh. It extends from remote Chhattisgarh to Gond and Baiga tribals of Mandla.
Saila dance is performed on the moonlight nights of autumn. It was named Saila due to the poles of about a quarter of a hand. Saila dance is practised to please Adidev. Karama Saila is a popular dance of the Gond tribe.
Mahendra Singh, Dhur Singh, Pancham Singh, Laxman Singh, Dharam Singh, Shiv Charan, Ammelal, Ratiram, Rakhi Maravi, Ragani Maravi, Chhoti Dhurve, Chameli Bai, Deepka Dhurve and Ganga Vati with Sukal Singh Dhurve performed the dances.
