After being closed for more than six months due to the Covid-19 situation, tourist spots in the State are all set to welcome visitors from October 1, informed Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi on the World Tourism Day on Sunday.
As many as 42 ecotourism destinations managed by more than 600 forest dependent community members in the state will reopen from October 1, official sources said.
However, the Covid-19 norms would be strictly followed at the tourist places after their reopening, the Minister said.
Asked about reopening of temples in the State, Panigrahi said a decision in this regard would be taken by the Law Department.
