Three special trains to halt at C’garh

Three special trains connecting Howrah and Ahmedabad, Howrah and Mumbai as well as Raigarh and Gondia will have stoppages in Chhattisgarh as they ferry people leaving in large numbers in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and the resultant lockdown.

An official release from Raipur Railway Division said train number 02834 Howrah-Ahmedabad Special will run daily and reach Bhatapara at 1235 hours and Raipur at 1335 hours. It will also stop at Tilda station. It will reach Bhilai Power House at 1411 hours and Durg at 1435 hours.

Train number 02833 Ahmedabad-Howarh Special will reach Durg at 2210 hours, Bhilai Power House at 2226 hours, Raipur at 2255 hours and reach Bhataparat by 0003 hours.

The Howrah-Mumbai (02810), which will also run daily, will reach Bhatapara at 0810 am, Raipur at 0905 am and Durg at 1005 am. The returning train 02809 Mumbai-Howrah will reach Durg at 1520 hours, Raipur at 1600 hours and Bhatapara at 1700 hours.

Train number 02069 Raigarh-Gondia Janshatabdi Special will run on all days except Sunday. It will reach Bhatapara at 0930 am, Raipur at 1025 am and Durg at 1120 am.

Similarly, the return train number 02070 , barring Saturday, will reach Durg at 1705 hours, Raipur at 1745 hours and Bhatapara 1848 hours.

All the trains will pass through the South East Central Railway (SECR) zone and Raipur Railway Division.

Railway authorities have said that all steps are being taken to sanitize railway stations and premises by implementing the guidelines and advisories for Covid-19.
