A body of a Junior Engineer (JE) of Sundargarh district, who was working in Rural Development department of Jharsuguda district and was commuting daily by his two-wheeler from his home, was recovered from the Safei river bridge on Tuesday under mysterious circumstances.The JE had not returned home on Monday evening, following which his family members had lodged a missing complaint at the Bhasma police station.
His two wheeler, helmet, chappal and mobile phone were noticed on Bhasma bridge over Safei river. The deceased was identified as Sudhir Kumar Nayak (46), a resident of Bhedabahal village under Sundargarh Sadar police station.A police team of Bhasma had launched a search operation.
Some locals had informed the police about the body. Senior police officials of the district, including Sundargarh SP Sagarika Nath rushed to the spot and supervised investigation."After recovering body, we conducted the post mortem.
