nThe Mahasamund district administration on Wednesday said that students of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Saraipali, stranded at Haveri in Karnataka and students of the Nizamabad, Telangana, stuck at the institute in the district, will be sent back to their respective institutions.
Mahasamund collector and district magistrate Sunil Kumar Jain granted the permission for the exchange of the students to the principal, JNV Saraipali with a number of conditions.
If any facts or details are concealed provided by the students are found to be false, the permission will be cancelled, a letter by the collector said.
Legal action will be initiated against the applicant who sought the permission, it said.
Twenty-three students from JNV, Mahasamund had gone to attend an educational course at JNV Haveri, Karnataka, an application by the principal of the institute in Saraipali said.
Similarly, 24 students of JNV Nizamabad had gone to JNV Saraipali, Mahasamund for educational course, it said.
Both the group of students have stranded at the respective places after the nation-wide lockdown was announced along with cancellation of transport.
The respective institute moved applications to shift the students and the students will reach their institutes and then will be transported to their native places, the statement said.
The students of JNV Mahasamund on reaching district headquarters will be kept under 14 days mandatory quarantine and will undergo all medical tests, it said.
