Jharkhand cops to say no to getting title of coronavirus warrior under order of DGP M V Rao.
No man in uniform from now in Jharkhand will allow any flower shower on him/her or bow his/her head for garlanding or will accept any citation of being a Coronavirus warrior.
The all variety of cops right from constable to DG even is to refrain from such public exhibition wherein title of coronavirus warrior is so conferred upon in full media glare said sources.
Sources said the title of coronavirus warrior is conferred upon not in any true and pious spirit by the organizations/ individuals etc but more to get into limelight or to get some mileage or to increase proximity to police or to its agency by such organizers or individuals to extract any favour or benefit in their hours of crises etc.
IG of police (operations) Jharkhand Saket Kumar Singh cum state spokesperson for police too said, “Of late we have found there is a hot race of conferring title of coronavirus warrior on our cops among various organizations and individuals every day here and there in the state with an apparent look that the real game behind such conferment of warrior title on cops is for some vested interests or for ulterior motives than for any honest recognition of cops’ services.”
Singh said, “We have received information that such conferment of warrior title on cops has been carried out by even those organizations or individuals which/ who have grave allegations against them and whom the police are looking for to drag them in the court of law but here such faces pose to be a friend of society by rubbing shoulders with cops.”
The IG said DGP Jharkhand M V Rao has clearly directed us to put a stop to such public honouring of any brand of cops as there is hardly any need for it.
Under order of DGP no cop irrespective of his rank will now offer oneself for felicitation, attend
such function/ programme or receive any citation of being a warrior without the prior permission of the senior police officer like SP if the matter is of a district etc.
