Scout & Guide makes students good citizens

Scouting & Guiding is the biggest voluntary and non-political organisation spread throughout the world. Its purpose, promise and laws are universal in character. It provides a unique programme for young  boys and girls in and through outdoor activities in open air. The movement is based upon the responsibility of self development.

 It adopts various age groups and stresses  learning by doing education through scouting and guiding. It makes a man kind and efficient. It aims at inculcating the values of selfless service, patriotism and humanity.

Training is imparted through patrol system. It is generally conducted in natural surroundings. The Scout patrols are named after animals and Guide patrols are named after flowers and Birds. The emphasis is laid on natural equality, mutual co-operations and development of qualities of leadership. The students join this  movement for the sake of adventures activities. This movement can provide healthy values through camps trekking, hikings, rallies and Jamboree.

This movement provides a wider scope of achieving  higher proficiency badges by every Scout & Guide. They can achieve the highest award of bagging the President's Scout & Guide certificate.

The objectives of scouting and  guiding are to develop character of boys and girls and make them good citizen of tomorrow.  They promote physical, mental, moral and spiritual development. They inculcate patriotism, loyalty and service to others. They impart Training in necessary arts and handicrafts useful to the society. The Scouting and Guiding movement requires volunteers who can sacrifice their spare time in the interest of the community and humanity. It is a way of life. If monitored properly it will surely bring peace, progress and prosperity of the world.
