At the syndicate meeting of Ranchi University (RU) it was decided to grant pension to all the teaching as well as non teaching staff members of the eight minority colleges in the State. Initially pension was granted to those who retired after December 19, 2012, but now it will be granted to those who were appointed before December 1, 2004 as well
The syndicate meeting was held on Tuesday at the RU campus. It was presided over by Acting Vice Chancellor RU Kamini Kumar. Dean of Studenta Welfare RU, RU Proctor, Dr BP Verma, Principal JN College Dhurwa, Dr Shamshun Nehra Principal SS Memorial College, Head of History Department and
Head of Home Science Department were also present among others.
The minority colleges include St Xavier’s College Ranchi, Maulana Azad College Ranchi, Gossner College Ranchi, Nirmala College Ranchi, Paramvir Alvbert Ekka Memorial College Chainpur, Guru Nanak College Dhanbad, Karim City College Jamshedpur and Yogoda Satsanga Mahavidyalaya Ranchi.
