RPN Singh gives tips to Cong media coordinators

The Congress party has asked its media coordinators and spokespersons to become pro-active and aggressive highlighting the various schemes of the Hemant Soren government, of which Congress is a part.

State Congress in-charge RPN Singh today gave mantra to media coordinators and spokespersons. The briefing was attended by state Congress president and finance minister Dr Rameshwar Oraon, Congress legislative party leader and parliamentary affairs minister Alamgir Alam, agriculture minister Badal, health minister Banna Gupta and others. Congress party working president and chief spokesperson Rajesh Thakur who too was present on the occasion informed the senior leaders about the functioning of media coordinators.

Singh said, “Due to workers’ efforts a coalition government of which Congress too is part has been formed at State. The formation of Congress government in the State has given more challenge and opportunity for media coordinators and spokespersons.”

As media coordinators and spokespersons are eyes and ears of any political party, their tasks become more important when the party is in government, said Singh.

Singh asked the media panellists to highlight the various schemes of the State government so that people know about government works. 

Singh also stressed on weekly meetings of media coordinators and spokespersons where they can discuss the current issues.

State Congress president and finance minister Rameshwar Oraon on the occasion asked the spokespersons to reach out to masses highlighting the work of government.

Oraon highlighted the work carried out by Congress ministers. He said that for the first time 13 lakh people in the State have received food grains under the food security act. MGNREGA workers are getting work through rural works department schemes. The minister claimed that even in the rainy season the state government has provided works to around 6 lakh MGNREGA workers and it is expected that workers number will go up to 10 lakh by December. 

State media in charge and JPCC working president Rajesh Thakur said that spokespersons are doing a good job.

State spokesperson Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo said, “The party in-charge and president asked the Congress workers to intensify campaign against farm bills.”

Shahdeo said that in this direction the Congress workers will hold dharna at all district headquarters on October 2 and from October 3, the party will carry out a signature campaign against farm bills which will run till October 30.

The party expects to get signatures of around 25 lakh people which will be sent to the president.
