Ratibad police have nabbed two persons from different places and recovered illegally transported 22 liters of county-made liquor and two scooters from their possession on Tuesday.

According to the police, acting of a tip two persons were detained and from their possession 15 liters and 7 liters of county-made liquor and scooter bearing registration number MP04SS9327 and a scooter without registration number was recovered.

Police have nabbed Anil Maran (38) of Ratibad and Raju Suryavanshi (19) of Goragaon.The two were carrying liquor and failed to produce license regarding the liquor and were nabbed.

The source from which the two have obtained the liquor and where it was scheduled to be delivered would be investigated. The recovered liquor is worth Rs 3300.

Based on the information of illegal transport of liquor in the lockdown several cases have been witnessed. A case under section 34 (2) of the Excise Act was registered and further investigation has been started.

Meanwhile, Kolar police have nabbed two habitual offenders and recovered country made liquor from their possession on Tuesday.

Raju Dande was nabbed from Bairgarh Chichli and when he was checked county-made liquor was recovered from his possession. Later, from Gehunkheda Shyam Pagare was nabbed by police and recovered country made liquor from his possession.

Police said Raju and Shyam hold past criminal record.

They were involved in selling the county-made liquor illegally. After the preliminary investigation a case under section 34(2) of the Excise Act was registered and further investigation has been started.
