Habibganj Police have booked a 35-year-old miscreant for molesting and sexually assaulting a 20-year-old girl at Janata Colony on Sunday. The victim managed to escape and lodged complaint.
On Sunday evening the victim approached Habibganj police and lodged a complaint against the accused Rasheed alias Dulleh Bhai. In her complaint the victim stated the accused used to sexually harass her for past several months.
On Sunday, at around 6 pm when the victim was on her way to home carrying flower post the accused obstructed her way as he was buying vegetables and when she requested the accused molested her and slapped her.
The victim opposed after which the accused assaulted her and escaped the spot. The victim raised alert and locals rushed to her rescue but the accused managed to escape. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case against the accused and have started search for the accused.
Police have started search for the accused and have started to obtain details based on information provided by the victim.
The parents of the victim took the victim to report the incident. Police arrested the accused late in the night. Details of the accused are under investigation and his crime record would be checked. It would be investigated that accused was involved in molestation and sexual assault in the past.
