The Vigilance police on Tuesday caught Nirvaya Pradhan, Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) of Sanjomura gram panchayat under Kishorenagar block in Angul district red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.Pradhan had demanded the bribe from one Jayanta Biswal of village Nimitri under the Kishorenagar PS in the district for processing and releasing Rs1. 20 lakh in the latter’s favour under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Scheme (PMAY). Later, Pradhan was arrested and forwarded to court.
