Monday, 30 November 2020 | PNS | Ranchi

A group of motivated individuals under the banner of Paradise on Sunday distributed four-month ration for 50 girls under various age groups undergoing rehabilitation at the Association for Social and Human Awareness in Ranchi. The total project cost, the group members said, was Rs.1.20 lakh.

Rs Rs In this difficult time of Covid-19, it is our small effort to ensure that none of the girls at ASHA go to be with an empty stomach, '' said a Paradise member.

Founded by like-minded friends in May 2019, the society works to provide relief to the poor in India. It provides medical relief, education and any other item of general public utility, irrespective of religion, caste, colour, creed, or gender to the needy. No religious, no internationally funded trust and no community-based activity are undertaken by the group.

The group uses WhatsApp's only digital platform to connect with its members and raise money through online payments. Event invitations, updates etc. are sent only on WhatsApp. Technology is being used to affect the lives of many underprivileged.

Every month, the members of the group make donations to different NGOs in Jharkhand.
