Panda takes stock of farming in G'pati

Former Assembly Deputy Speaker and advisor of Odisha Agri Marketing Board Rama Chandra Panda visited Birikote Panchayat of Mohana Block to take stock of the cultivation of lemon grass, Tulsi, and production of oil from lemon grass by the local tribal farmers.

He was accompanied by Sarapanch Musa Majhi, Deputy Director of Horticulture, Gajapati, K Sudarshan, NGO PREM president Jacob Thundyil besides block officials and local farmers. Panda was widely greeted by the tribal farmers and local party workers during his visit.

Mention may be made that Panda during his extensive tour to Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada and other districts during last fortnight visited several places to oversee the progress of various development works, progress in farming initiated by the State Government, besides attending various meetings and functions organised by the party functionaries.
