Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said his government is working to establish a ‘Ram-Rajya’ which Mahatma Gandhi had dreamt of. The real ‘Ram-Rajya’ propagates equality, love and brotherhood.
In such a reign, there will be no fear for anyone, and even the lions and goats can drink water from the same waterhole, he said.
Baghel was addressing a religious event at Shivrinarayan, in Janjgir-Champa district organized by Shivrinarayan Matt based on ‘Ramcharitmanas’ on Sunday, states an official communication.
Chhattisgarh has always had a tradition of worshipping the benevolent Ram, he said.
“We worship both in ‘Saguna’ (God with form) and ‘Nirguna (Without form). Goswami Tulsi Das reached out to the people in ‘Saguna’ while Saint Kabir offered prayers for ‘Nirguna’. The ‘Ramnaami’ community of Chhattisgarh tattoos Lord Ram’s name on the body to offer reverence to the formless God,” said Baghel.
If each child to senior citizen of the state feels there is their own government, then the dream of ‘Ram Rajya’ will be fulfilled.
On ‘Ram Gaman Path’, he said the tourism circuit plan is ready and the first phase work is in progress. As Shivrinarayan is linked to Lord Ram, it would be developed as a religious tourism centre and provided the best facilities to devotees and tourists.
Baghel announced to commence a 30-bed hospital at Shivrinarayan and a three-day ‘Manas Gaan Mahotsav’. He inspected the proposed model of works to be undertaken at cost of Rs 36 crore. He unveiled statues of Lord Rama, Laxman and Mata Shabri at the fair ground.
