Eintkhedi police has booked a miscreant who blackmailed a 25-year-old married woman and extorted Rs 5,000 from the victim. The accused threatened victim over phone.

Police said that the accused used to blackmail her threatening to destroy her married life and used to pressurise her to meet.

A complaint was lodged by the victim on Wednesday. According to the police, the victim met the accused two years ago when she had gone to her parents house and later he started to harass her over phone and asked to meet her and later threatened to destroy her married life by telling fabricated stories to her husband and also took Rs  5,000 from her.

The victim shared that details with the husband and later a complaint was lodged with the Eintkhedi police.

Based on the complaint and after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC.

After the complaint was lodged, the police registered a case and search for accused has been started who escaped after complaint.

Meanwhile, a 22-year old girl was sexually exploited for the past one and a half years on the promise of marriage at Kotra area under Kamla Nagar police station area, a case was registered on Wednesday.

According to the police, the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused Ramnivas Rajput last year in March and assured her of marriage and continued to sexually exploit her. Based on the complaint police have registered a case under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC.
