As many as 38 police stations in State do not have wireless communication systems, according to a report of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) related to Data on Police Organisations.

The report further said that four police stations in  State have no vehicles while three police stations lack telephones. Of 16,833 police stations in India, 143 do not have wireless or mobiles while 257 are without vehicles. It is a matter of concern when such infrastructures, which are a good reliable system and are important for effective functioning of police organisation, are missing from police stations in 21st-Century India,  report said.
