In order to strengthen the healthcare system of the State, Health Minister Banna Gupta distributed appointment letters to as many as 43 Medical Officers, 44 Senior Medical Officers appointed by NMH and 280 doctors by JPCC in the State capital on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering Gupta congratulated those associated with the government health service during the Cocid-19 outbreak and said, “The government is hopeful that all appointed doctors will serve the needy in primary health centers, community health centers and their posted health centers and work as pillars of the government. It is expected that they will work towards the development of Jharkhand.”
Principal Secretary (Health and Family Welfare Department) Dr Nitin Madan Kulkarni said, “Doctors are being appointed after 2015, which is a good sign for the health system of the State. Half of the people join this profession because they do not want to work while half want their dowry rates to increase.
The doctors have been posted after a lot of thinking. There will no impact on the family life of the people as husband and wife doctors have been posted in the same district. If any patient comes to primary health centres and community health centres then they must be present in the hospital and serve the villagers.”
“Only government hospitals continued to serve the people for four months during the Covid-19 outbreak as almost all private hospitals were closed. Patients were being treated and children were also being delivered. The newly appointed doctors should work with a new thinking,” added the Principal Secretary.
“There is scope of improvement in the number of doctors in Jharkhand. In this regard more doctors have been appointed by NHM and the Department. The appointed doctors should do their duty and work as per the system of the government,” said National Health Mission Campaign Director Ravi Shankar Shukla.
On the occasion Dr Manoj Kumar, HOD Microbiologist, Dr Pravin Karn State Epidemiologist IDSP and Tejkaran Charan CM Health Advisor were awarded certificates for their contribution towards the control and prevention of the global pandemic Covid-19.
