With corona positive cases hitting half century in the city, the administration has come up with new containment zones at Birsanagar Zone no. 8, Jawaharnagar, Mango and Telco.
About 27 new Covid-19 positive cases were detected in Jamshedpur on Saturday alone. Two persons had travel history from Maharashtra while one each from Delhi, Gurugram and Chennai had arrived in the city and were staying in quarantine centres in different parts. All the positive cases have been shifted to Tata Main Hospital Covid wing.
Earlier, one containment zone had been set up at the densely-populated area in Govindpur, a city suburb and two containment zones in Chakulia in Ghatshila sub-division of the district.
Containment zones are barricaded areas where residents are not allowed to move out, they are subjected to regular screening and community testing for people with symptoms, high contact tracing, regular sanitisation, door-to-door health checks and doorstep delivery of essential goods, even as the rest of the city witnesses phased revival of business and commerce activities.
Meanwhile, the district administration has decided to make digital entry of people coming to East Singhbhum starting from May 31. The move will help to maintain a record of people visiting the district. The Integrated Data Capturing and Reporting System was discussed in detail at the Collectorate’s Auditorium under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla for the prevention and prevention of global pandemic COVID-19.
It was decided that all information related to people coming from other states and districts in East Singhbhum district will be done in the entry digital mode. This will make it easy to get all kinds of information related to them. Efforts are being made to develop further and more digital data entry. This new system will be launched in the district from May 31.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the District Education Superintendent to ensure the deputation of the teacher who is near to check point as well as under 50 years of age to assist in data entry on all check points.
At the same time, the concerned officer was directed to organise a subdivision-wise training workshop. In this system, once the information related to a person is entered, only information related to it will be added, there will be a check point at every level so that people entering the district can be easily tracked. This system will prove to be very effective in tracking thousands of people every day in the coming days when their home quarantines will come from different states.
