Uttarakhand’s Tourism and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj met Union Tourism Minister Prahlad Patel and the Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, VK Singh on Thursday.
Meeting Patel, Maharaj spoke about Tibersain Mahadev in Niti valley where a snowy Shivling forms like in the famous Amarnath cave.
Maharaj said that if the Central Government grants permission for the Tibersain Yatra, it will not just boost the tourism, but will also prevent the migration of locals from border region of Uttarakhand. He also requested the Union minister to promote and publicise the immunity booster cuisines of Uttarakhand at the national level. Maharaj also informed Patel about the status of works being undertaken under various schemes in the state.
Meeting Union MoS Singh to discuss the all weather road being constructed for the Char Dham Yatra, Maharaj requested him to consider the condition of roads during winter season and ensure that necessary arrangements are in place to clean the accumulated snow from roads, so that tourists can travel conveniently.
Singh assured the State’s Tourism minister that he will be visiting Uttarakhand soon for the inspection of the road project.
