A man died and his wife was injured in Rajgangpur of Sundargarh district on Sunday evening when their two-wheeler collided with an auto-rickshaw head on near the Lipaloi bridge.
The deceased was identified as Prafulla Lakr and wife Parbati of Kesarmal. The couple were returning home from Rajgangapur when the mishap occurred.
Locals rushed the injured couple to the nearby Community Health Centre where doctors declared Prafulla brought dead.
The Rajgangpur police detained the auto-rickshaw driver following the incident.
