Ruling party JMM and Congress today claimed that the Mahagathbandhan government headed by Chief Minister Hemant Soren will complete most of the poll promises the alliance has made to people at the same time hitting back Opposition BJP for targeting the State government on its first anniversary. Both JMM and Congress claimed that the present government will fulfill the aspirations of people.
JMM General Secretary cum spokesperson Vinod Pandey addressing a press conference said, “The present government during the corona pandemic despite limited resources tried to fulfill people’s aspirations. The government with an aim to address the issue of farmers has waived farm loan upto Rs 50,000. At the same time steps have been initiated in improving the health and education sector.” The JMM spokesperson also claimed that with an aim to protect the State’s culture and identity the government has passed the Sarna religious code which is pending before the Centre.
Targeting the Opposition, the JMM leader claimed that BJP and AJSU party to hide their failure are attacking the government, but the people of the State have seen the real colours of BJP and AJSU party.
He said, “The people have not even rejected BJP and AJSU in the Assembly poll, but have also rejected the two parties in bypolls too.” The JMM leader also attacked Centre for being unsympathetic towards farmers’ issues claiming that three controversial farm laws have been tabled in Parliament without taking into consideration farmers' issues and interest.
Meanwhile, State Congress spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo and Rajesh Gupta ‘Chhotu’ slammed former urban development minister and Ranchi MLA CP Singh for his remark that the State government has failed in utilising funds meant for urban infrastructure
. The three leaders claimed that CP Singh as public representative has represented Ranchi for 30 years, but has not done anything for improving urban infrastructure in Capital. Dubey said, “The former government in the name of smart city, adopting villages has wasted public money as civic issues remain the main problem for residents of Capital.”
Shahdeo said that in the BJP regime numerous scams such as blanket scam, Meinhardt scam, momentum Jharkhand scam, sewerage drainage scam, lecturer scam, rat bridge clipping scam, and many other scams occurred. “These BJP leaders who are questioning the Government will be behind the bars once the probe in these scam intensifies,” added Dubey.
State Congress Committee spokesperson Shahdeo said that the work of upgrading the Harmu River had started during the tenure of CP Singh, but the status of the river is still intact and everyone is aware of it.
He said that the work of construction of drainage and sewerage system in the city started during the tenure of CP Singh as minister, but where the water of that drain will come out has also not been cleared yet. The construction of Ranchi Tata Highway was assured to be completed during BJP rule, but despite Jharkhand High Court’s intervention the work is yet to be completed.
