Bypolls for 2 seats on Nov 3
The Election Commission of India on Tuesday announced the schedule of bypolls across the country. For two seats Dumka and Bermo in the State elections will take place on November 3 and the votes will be counted on November 10. While the Bermo seat is considered a strong bastion of Congress, there is likely to be a tough contest on Dumka seat between BJP and JMM. The Dumka seat was vacated by CM Hemant Soren after he won from both Dumka and Barhet, while the Bermo seat fell vacant due to the demise of Congress MLA Rajendra Singh.
PAS bags the Best International Principal’s award
PAS Bokaro bagged the most coveted awards of the Science Olympiad Foundation. Founder Principal Rita Prasad received The Best International Principal Award 2019 for the second consecutive year from the Academic Council of Science Olympiad Foundation for her leadership qualities, path breaking initiatives for the cause of education and the academic excellence of students of School. DPS Ranchi student selected for IIM Indore
Adding another feather to the cap of achievements of DPS Ranchi, its student Harsh has been selected in the Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) of IIM Indore. Three students of DPS Ranchi have been selected earlier in the IPM of IIM Rohtak as well including Harsh. Principal Ram Singh congratulated the student and said nothing gives more pleasure than seeing our students confidently meeting challenges and outshining the rest.
enquiry ordered in irregularities in PMKSN
Dhanbad District administration has decided to realise money transferred from PM Kisan Samman Nidhi in accounts of fake farmers of the district. The decision came following detection of fake farmers following swelling numbers of farmers in the district in 20- 21 compared to 19-20. The numbers were over 67,000 when the scheme was launched but in the second year the number suddenly increased to over a lakh though the area of cultivable land remained the same. The sudden hike was detected by the union Agricultural ministry that directed the state Agricultural department to direct the Dhanbad district administration to hold an inquiry into the matter. Dhanbad DC has directed the district Agricultural department as well as circle officers to hold inquiry and report.
Amazon India scales delivery network
Amazon India today announced a significant augmentation in its delivery network ahead of the much-awaited festive season. The company has notably ramped up its delivery infrastructure and added tens of thousands of delivery partners to the network to serve the rising customer demand for the festive season. The company has added close to 200 delivery stations, including those operated by Delivery Service Partnersacross the country to further its direct reach, including in many remote northeastern towns such as Champhai, Kolasib, Lumding and Mokokchung. The company has also strengthened its delivery programs as well with its flagship ‘I Have Space’ (IHS) program, now comprising more than 28,000neighborhood and kirana in close to 350 cities.
