As per an MoU signed with the State Government recently, the Hi-Tech Medical College would set up a 200-bed special COVID-19 hospital on the city outskirts here soon to provide treatment to coronavirus patients of Gajapati district.
The hospital would operate in the boys' hostel of the CUTM on a temporary basis for six months. All required equipments and beds have been brought from the Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
Hi-Tech Group Chairman Dr Tirupati Panigrahi said the Government would provide all support for development of infrastructure and an industrial unit would give financial support to the hospital as per the tripartite agreement. Another such hospital would also be set up at Rourkela by the Hi-Tech Group, he said.
