Chamber of Commerce, Garhwa is helping people in need at Pathantoli Mohalla, which has been declared as containment zone after a person tested positive of Covid-19 here. The area has been sealed by the district administration.
All the 113 households living in that area are getting supplies of daily necessities such as vegetables, milk, ration, medicines and animal feed by the Chamber of Commerce, Garhwa. Around 8 to 10 volunteers of Chamber of Commerce every day maintained the register by talking on the phone for the daily needs of the people and accordingly supplies are being sent to their homes. All these volunteers are taking care of these families in scorching heat.
Garhwa DC Harsh Mangla said, "On behalf of the entire administration, I express my heartfelt gratitude to all these Corona fighters and also to the residents of the area who have complied with the curfew order. I wish this area to be freed from the Red Zone soon."
President of Chamber of Commerce, Garhwa said that at a cost of nominal Rs. 50 we have made a packet of different kinds of vegetables, in which potato 750 gms, spinach 1 kg, brinjals 1 kg, cabbage 2 pieces, bitter gourd 500 grams, Okra 1 kg, onions 500 grams, tomatoes 500 grams, cucumber 500 grams, kadu 1 piece, munch 100 grams, lemon 2 pieces and supplied to the needy peoples. Those who have no money are being given free.
