Sunday, 31 May 2020 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

A month long workshop on Cinema will be held online. It is organised by Film Institute of India and the National Film Archive  for the aspirants who wan to enter the film industry.

The Course will commence on June 15 June and will end on  July 11. It will be held on Monday to Saturday with 3 hours of online class and approximately 3 hours of watching films. The last date for receiving applications is June 2, 2020.

Film Institute of India and the National Film Archive are conducting the Course and I will be leading it. For more information contact www.ftii.ac.in or www.nfai.gov.in. In these Covid times when one needs to keep oneself engaged, here will be an opportunity to watch some movie classics and get an understanding of not just how films are made but how to appreciate them whichever genre they may be.  In this 4-week journey the participants will have a different experience.

It is an understanding of the language of Cinema through the intricacies of making and discovering narratives  beyond what is seen on the screen, with a bit of history and the various movements from all over the world via a specially curated selection that throws light on how films are made and seen over the years.
