The deputy mayor of Hazaribag council Raj Kumar Lal said that the electricity department cut off the connection due to the dues amount of 25 lakhs. He said that it will be helpful for the poor and unknown bodies’ cremation after the Corona period is over.
Earlier, the administration had decided to cremate Covid-19 bodies on the bank of Konar River at Ranchi-Patna road. It was opposed by the villagers and they blocked the highway for two days continuously. After this agitation the administration took the decision for electric cremation.
