Dushyant Kumar’s ghazals sung on DKPS foundation day

To observe the foundation day of Dushyant Kumar Pandulipi Sanghralaya ghazals of Dushyant Kumar were performed here on Tuesday evening. The concert was presented by Sayaa Band, Bhopal at Dushyant Kumar Sanghralaya premises.

Director of Sanghralaya Rajukar Raj said, “This Sanghralaya was founded on December 30 in the year 1997 and from then we endeavour to preserve the literary works of great writers and poets.”

He further said, “To observe the foundation day we decided to present Dushyant Kumar’s poetry in a unique way.”

While expressing his views on Dushyant Kumar’s poetry, he said, “Dushyant Kumar was a tremendously wonderful writer and poet. His work is appreciated all over and is a well-noted personality of our country.”

He further said that Dhushyant Kumar’s poetry is contemporary and is connected with the country’s scenario. 

Singer Arvind Soni performed six ghazals of Dushyant Kumar. He started off with 'Marna to Laga hi rahega yahan jee to lijiye'.

He then performed, 'Ho gayi hai eer parvat, kahin se dhoop i chadar toh bicha, Is nadi ki dhaar me thandi ahawa' and more, leaving the audience mesmerised.

Meanwhile, the biography of Rajukar Raj, founder of Dushyant Kumar Memorial Museum of Manuscript was launched by Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University Santosh Choubey.

On this occasion, the distinguished guest of Hindi Bagheli, the well-known litterateur Shivshankar Mishra Saras described this book as a living document of the special life journey of a common man.

The author of this work Ramrao Vamankar shared many interesting stories related to the creation of this work with the people present.

Participating in the discussion on the work, critic Ghanshyam Maithil 'Amrit' described this work as an important gift for the Hindi literature world and said that it is not just the life story of Rajurkar Raj, the hero of this work, but his childhood till date.

On this occasion, Rajurkar Raj heartily thanked the authors of this work and the presence of all the social literary people present in the event.
