Director General of Police Vivek Johri has directed all the Zonal Additional Director General of Police, Inspector General of Police to conduct a one-month special campaign for the redressal of crimes against women from December 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 at the state level and during this period execution of pending summons and warrants of POCSO cases would be ensured.
During this special operation, the arrest warrants of POSCO cases, warrants, arrests of absconding accused under Section 299 and 173 (8) CrPC would be done and disposal of cases pending over two months which are sexual assault and human trafficking.
Additional Director General of Police and Inspector General of Police will review the campaign weekly during the campaign. They will disseminate the necessary guidelines for effective implementation.
Instructions have also been given to punish officers and employees who have taken noteworthy actions during the weekly review, and to take action against the officer and employee who kept the cases pending due to negligence.
In another circular issued by State Police Headquarters the non-gazetted police officers of Madhya Pradesh Police such as Inspector from Assistant Sub Inspector, Company Commander to APC and all officials of ministerial cadre will be provided with annual confidential report.
Now the accepting officer will have to send a copy of the Annual Confidential Character from the reporting officer and obtain two acknowledgments, one copy per district and unit and one ACR copy as well as send it to Police Headquarters (Administration Branch ACR Cell). Reported officers will be able to submit representations in case they disagree with the tip or category given to them within the stipulated period as per the rules.
