Under various cultural performances by Department of Culture, dance and music performances were held online on Saturday. The Department of Culture featured a play, folk dance and gazal performances were featured on YouTube Channel. Folk dance Uchati Lehki was featured.
It is a dance from Dindori and was performed by Maan Singh. A solo play performance by Rashmi Vishwakarma drom Bhopal was featured. Next was Tathiya Tribal Dance was featured. It was performed by Nanu Uikey from Betul district. It is to be noted that in view of the worldwide crisis of Coronavirus, a creative initiative is taken by the Culture Department Madhya Pradesh Government by connecting the artists of the country and State, which has received an encouraging response.
The writers, poets and artists invited by the Department of Culture from time to time in its events, were requested to send thier creative act for the society on their behalf in this hour of crisis,
which they circulated to all through their social media. The initiative has started keeping in view the ongoing lockdown. A series of events is being presented everyday.
