Police have rescued a minor girl from Ghasipura in Keonjhar district, who had been allegedly kidnapped from Sobha village in the Balikuda area of Jagatsinghpur district, and arrested the alleged abductor Chandan Moharana, a married man from same village.
Basing on an FIR lodged by the girl’s father, police had launched a search drive and traced her in Ghasipura along with the alleged kidnapper and brought her to Balikuda on Monday.
After completing legal formalities, the girl was handed over to the Sishu Ashram, a child care home at Jagatsinghpur. The abductor was forwarded to court, informed the Balikuda police station Officer-in- Charge.
