Two supervisors of Sai Construction Limited were abducted from a road side camp near NH 49 at Kamperkila road side under Pallahara police station. A bridge over Mankada river at a cost of Rs 8 crore is being constructed by firm under RD Department for last two years.
The supervisors identified as Sanatana Behera and Nartam Biswal were staying in camp along with other workers. Sources said about 10- 12 miscreants came to camp site at about 1 am on Tuesday night in two Bolero jeeps. They were armed and assaulted a few workers first. Then they abducted supervisors, besides 45 liters of diesel and fled spot.
