Cold wave grips State, min temp dips to 3 deg Celsius

Chilling cold winds and severe cold conditions gripped the state and state capital and would continue till eve of new year and with the advent of new year thundery activities and lightening would be witnessed.

Intense cold conditions were witnessed at Indore, Dhar, Ujjain and Rajgarh districts while cold day conditions were witnessed at Khajuraho,Sagar, Damoh, Guna, Nowgong, Khandwa, Khargone,Ratlam, Ujjain and Shajapur.

Bhopal recorded 10 degree Celsius in the night while day was with 18 degree Celsius which was 7 degree Celsius below normal temperature. The day temperature would be recorded at 19 degree Celsius and night temperature would be recorded around 10 degree Celsius on Wednesday.

Night and day temperatures continued to remain at low levels making the weather conditions freezing cold which are made harsher by northerly chilling winds.

The night temperatures are recorded as low as 3 degree Celsius, Gwalior recorded night temperature at 3.8 degree Celsius, Guna recorded night temperature at 5.5 degree Celsius, Dhar and Raisen recorded night temperature at 6 degree Celsius, Nowgong recorded night temperature at 5.8 degree Celsius.

Bone chilling cold conditions would be witnessed as warning was issued for cold day condition in Gwalior and Chambal divisions and Dhar, Indore, Khargone, Ratlam, Shajapur, Ujjain, Raisen and Rajgarh districts.

Gwalior and Chambal divisions and Chhatarpur district would witness cold wave conditions while frost conditions would be witnessed in Datia, Bhind and Morena districts.
